We join with other congregations to provide support for the following efforts on a regular and sustaining basis:
- Cherokee Home for Children is a basic care residential children's home located near the community of Cherokee, on the upper edge of the Texas hill country. Licensed by the state of Texas for residential care of youth from 2 through 17 years of age, the home also offers foster care. Services to children and families are provided at no costs for private placements. Through the years, the congregation has traveled to Cherokee to sponsor an outdoor fish fry with all the trimmings. It was originally suggested that this would give the house parents a break from preparing a meal for their cottages, and also give an opportunity for our church to fellowship with the employees and children at Cherokee. The activity has been a blessing for many, both at Cherokee and Cove.
- Jim Corner is a member of the Buckingham church in Garland and has been traveling to Africa for several years to help train indigenous workers there to teach Christ in in their own countries. The focus is now in Cameroon, Africa.
- Gospel Chariot Missions (GCM) was started in 1994 by George and Ria Funk. George and Ria are native South Africans and were converted in 1984 and 1986 respectively. God has truly blessed them and their efforts over the last 15 years. Their ministry has baptized over 7000 souls and established more than 70 Churches of Christ. George gives all the credit to God, his supporters and his GCM team. Cove Church of Christ supports taking the gospel to 11 African countries with gospel chariot buses, short term schools, bible correspondence courses, and campaigns.
- Kevin Haynes is serving Sunset School of Preaching as an instructor. We are assisting in his support.
- Eastern European Mission Since 1961 Eastern European Mission (EEM) has been providing God's Word to the people of Russia and Eastern Europe in their own languages
